I remember the years we would come up as kids to Darrington.  When I smell green beans, I remember sitting at Aunt Nellie's with what seemed like a never ending amount to snap.  Getting sick eating too many cherries off the trees in the back yard, too.  I will always have fond memories of you all and the love you shared.

How sad I was to have learned about Ellis passing and to have missed an opportunity to come to the services.  I recall so many wonderful memories with Shelia in your home and Ellis was such a wonderful man and father to Shelia & George.  Geneva know that I love you both and will truly miss Ellis and his wonderful smile and sense of humor.  I hope we can get together at another time.  Email me.

Ellis was such a gentle man, loving, kind, and always funny.  He had a way of putting a smile on my face even when I didn't feel like smiling.  I'm so sorry he is gone and for the pain you are all going through now because of his passing.  Just keep in mind that you will see him again.

Although I hadn't seen Ellis in many years, I have such fond memories of our elk hunting trips to Grays Harbor. I remember Ellis as having a great sense of humor and a genuine love for his friends and family. It was a blessing to have known him and he will always be in my memory as one of the great men I have had the honor of knowing.

Geneva, I am truly shocked and saddened at the news of this tragic loss to you and your family. Ellis was a kind and gentle man with a strong moral compass. He loved to negotiate with me for his cars and trucks at Roy Robinson. I will surely miss those times, but feel honored to have made his acquaintance. The news of Ellis hit me really hard.  We were distantly related and he never forgot that. Everytime I saw him, he had that smile on his face that just put you in a good mood, and made you feel loved.  Ellis was a great man, known by all and loved by all. Ellis was always my favorite uncle, and I am sorry to hear about your loss.  I have many fond memories of him from childhood, when he would come to Sylva to visit. When working at Arlington Family Medicine, we always knew summer had arrived when Ellis would bring in his wonderful bounty from his garden to share.
