Timothy Clayton Winter

Timothy C. "Tim" Winter, 69, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, August 2, 2017. Tim was born on September 29, 1947 in Chicago Illinois, moving to North Arlington, Virginia at the age of 4. He graduated from Yorktown High School and attended Virginia Tech where he established lifetime friendships with his Tau Delta fraternity brothers.

Tim was very successful in the sales and marketing of information packaging representing two national firms and won many awards and domestic and international incentive trips.

Tim loved Washington's sports teams......Hail to the Redskins and the Nats; skiing all over the U.S. and Canada; and the Rehoboth Beach scene for many years............... and sharing in all of these pursuits with his many friends.

Growing up with avid golfing parents, Tim was a member of Washington Golf and Country club since 1988.

He is survived by his sister Mary Ann Winter of Washington, DC, as well as 56 darling cousins living predominately in California and GLORIOUS Idaho.........which includes the family compound "Rivendell" in Donnelly, located on Lake Cascade, where Tim loved to visit.

A Celebration of Tim's life will be held in the Fall.
