Shelia Marie Pelham, daughter of Eileen Marie Pelham Leadbetter, was born in the District of Columbia on August 26, 1956. She grew up in Arlington, VA where she attended Arlington County public schools. After high school, Shelia worked in day care as well as the retail industry.
She loved God and was baptized at an early age at Mount Salvation Baptist Church.
Shelia was a loving person and mother. She loved her family and was truly devoted to her sons and grandchildren. Shelia would regularly call her sons “every night at 8:00” to make sure they were okay.
She loved to listen to music on her ‘boom box’ and would often reminisce about the good old times we used to have as she termed it ‘back in the day’.
Shelia also enjoyed watching old TV shows, shopping and dining out. She was a true fashionista. Shelia loved clothes and keeping her hair “tight” at all times.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother Eileen Marie Leadbetter; two children Vincent Moten, Jr. and Jaron Pelham; her sister Sharon Pelham; five grandchildren; two aunts, Rosa Strother and Betty Jean Murray; two uncles, James Pelham (Lucy) and John Pelham (Joyce); numerous cousins and a large host of relatives and friends. She will truly be missed.
