On Monday, November 19, 2018, a Washington area native. She worked as a civil servant for the Federal Housing Administration after World War II until her marriage to William G. Fuchs. A dedicated wife, she accompanied her husband around the world throughout his 32-year career with the Central Intelligence Agency. After retirement, the couple owned and operated Vagabond Imports in Seminole, FL. Mary was a lifelong artist working in needlepoint, crochet, and watercolor. She is survived by her sons William G. Fuchs, Jr. and Steven J. Fuchs, both of Arlington, VA, and her daughter Valerie F. Kravette of Tucson, AZ, as well as grandsons William A. Fuchs and David H. Fuchs, and great-grandson John W. Fuchs. Family will be receiving friends at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME OF ARLINGTON, 4510 Wilson Blvd., on Wednesday, November 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 29 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville, MD 20852. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Old Baltimore Rd., Rockville, MD.
