Mary Louise Burke

The Burke family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mary Louise Burke on October 1, 2018, on her life's journey, with the dignity and grace of which she was so worthy and deserving. Her wishes were honored by the four generations of family who survive her, as she passed on with serenity and peace within the comfort and safety of our home. We are proud of her legacy of family, faith and love. She shared this legacy in many ways. Among these are tradition, life's memories, laughter and song as well as the importance of breaking bread together. Our Matriarch's memory and spirit will remain with us along our individual and collective journeys forward. We'll be seeing you, Myrt. A viewing will be held at Murphy's Funeral Home in Arlington, Virginia on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 16 at 10 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mary will join her daughter Elizabeth and husband William at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Capital Caring Hospice.
