Pete was born in Annville, PA in 1928 and was raised by his Mother, E. Margaret Kessler, in Philadelphia, PA. Pete proudly attended Temple University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. He worked in the family business, Kessler’s Incorporated, a meat processing and distribution firm in Lemoyne, PA, until his retirement.
Throughout his life, Pete loved spending time at the ocean, especially Cape May, NJ. He enjoyed watching his beloved Phillies and all things related to baseball, annual fishing outings on the Chesapeake Bay, swimming, and historic railroads. He was known for his terrific sense of humor and limitless patience. Pete was a devoted husband for fifty-four years to Miriam, a poet. Of all of his accomplishments, Pete was proudest to be the father to his four children, whom he teased mercilessly.
Pete is survived by his wife, Miriam Kessler of Arlington, his daughters Kathy S. (Chad), Barrie L., Linda J. (Jim), six grandchildren, Nick Kessler (Heather), Jessie Eppelheimer, Samantha Mergentime, Maggie Eppelheimer, Aaron Lee and Dylan Lee.
