Joan Audrey Venverloh

Joan Audrey Venverloh, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in Arlington, Virginia. Born on May 28, 1937 in Lemay, Missouri, Joan lived a full and meaningful life shaped by her faith and devotion to family.

She was the beloved wife of Bernard J. Venverloh, Jr., with whom she shared a long marriage. Together, they raised a family that brought them great pride and happiness. Joan was a mother to three children and grandmother to four.

A lifelong learner with a passion for history, genealogy, and reading, Joan enjoyed sewing, playing piano, and traveling. She was known to be thoughtful, intelligent, and resourceful.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; Agnes and Charles Hoffmeister; her brother, Charles Jr and her son, Bernard III.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Joan’s life will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1910 N Randolph St, Arlington, Virginia 22207. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside burial at 12:30 PM and a light reception to follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington.
