Of Arlington, VA died on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Preceded in death by wife, Alicia Malvar and son, John Joseph Malvar. He is survived by six children, George Malvar, Michael Malvar, Rowena Korpal, John Malvar, Gabriel Malvar and Angelica Malvar; 13 grandchildren, one brother, Jimmy Malvar; three sisters, Gina Malvar, Josephine Malvar and Dolores Malvar; former wife, Nini Malvar; other relatives and friends. Friends may call at MURPHY'S FUNERAL HOME, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA, Friday, July 19 from 2 to 8 p.m., with prayers at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12:30 p.m., Saturday, July 20 at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, 3901 Cathedral Ln., Arlington, VA. Interment Columbia Gardens Cemetery.
