Elizabeth Easley

(Age 80)

On Sunday February 13, 2011, Betty Boone Easley of McLean, VA died peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Capital Hospice Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center, in Arlington, VA. An extremely loving and giving person, she was the mother of six and grandmother of ten. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, retired Army Lt. Colonel Roy Easley, West Point Class of 1950. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Peg Watts of Tell City, IN and is survived by her brother, Bob Boone of Fresno, CA. Her children are Brig, Stephen, Kevin and Mary Easley, all of Arlington, VA, Kathleen Easley Donofrio of Los Gatos, CA, and Michael Easley of Mountain View, CA. Daughters-in-law are Shelly, Kathy, Wendy and Becky Easley. Pat Donofrio is an Easley son-in-law. Grandsons are Nicholas and Joey Donofrio, and Sam, Tommy, Jack, Sean and Liam Easley. Granddaughters are Kaitlin, Kevyn and Bridget Easley. All children, grandchildren, and in-law spouses survive Betty. Viewing will be Monday, April 18th, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Arlington Funeral Home, 3901 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA, 22203. Funeral service will be held at the Old Post Chapel, Ft. Myer, VA, on Tuesday April 19th at 2:45pm. Interment will follow in Arlington National Cemetery.
