Edmond J. Bonin, 99, formerly of 31 Saratoga Drive, Worcester, entered into eternal life on May 27, 2024. His beloved wife of 53 years, Jeanne (Gosselin), died in 2011. He leaves a daughter, Dr. Therese M. Bonin of Pittsburgh, PA, and a son, Dr. Joseph E. Bonin, with whom he lived in Arlington, VA.
In Worcester, he was a parishioner at St. George Church, where he taught CCD and served as weekday lector for many years. He taught 35 years at Assumption Preparatory School, Marian High and St. Peter-Marian. He was an editorial consultant for two Catholic publishing houses and, in his spare time, translated 33 books on theology, patristics, exegesis and spiritually, for the greater glory of God.
He was a member of the People’s Eucharistic League and of the Confraternity of Mary Queen of Hearts.
He would appreciate prayers for his children and himself.
In lieu of flowers, Ed and his family would be grateful for memorial contributions to the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, the Assumptionists, or Assumption University (linked below).
