Donald P. Christie

Donald P. Christie (Age 96) Passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at the age of 96 at his residence in Alexandria, VA. He was born on January 7, 1917 in New York, New York. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Grace Christie and his daughter Donna Cromwell. He is survived by his children, Nancy Carrillo, Lorraine Wright, Joan DeLancey, Karen Christie-Craver, and Patricia Christie. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grand children and daughter of his longtime companion, Carol Mack. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and retired from the United States Secret Service. He was also a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and a chaplain with the American Legion. A family viewing will be held at Murphy Funeral Home with a memorial service at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Arlington, VA at 10:00am Monday March 25th. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Knights of Virginia, Assistance for the Retarded (KOVAR).
