Connie was born in New York City to Erminie (Johns) Bellamy and George Bellamy, on December 18th, 1938. She graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1956. She worked for many years for C&P Telephone Company, but retired from the U.S. Postal Service after working there for over twenty years.
Connie enjoyed reading, music, movies, fine art (especially Ernie Barnes), dancing, decorating, sewing, and doing puzzles of all types. She also enjoyed writing. And she loved Johnny Mathis and Sidney Poitier.
Connie’s proudest and greatest accomplishment was raising her two sons; they will be forever grateful for her sacrifices, faith, perseverance, and love.
Connie is survived by those sons, Anthony (Tony) Perkins of Virginia, and Scott Perkins of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Rhonda and Wendy Jo, and by her grandchildren, Connor and Jackson. In addition, she is survived by her brother, George T. Bellamy, his wife Kae, and their sons Domingo and Tiko.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, and by her husband, Staunton E. (Tommy) Perkins.
