Benny Lewis Parker passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at age 87. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary K. Parker, son Andrew, daughter-in-law Susan, grandchildren Elizabeth, Matthew and Jonathan, sister Lois Cox, brother Charles E. Parker and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Murphy’s Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, Virginia from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8. The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 2700 S. 19th St., Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace or the charity of your choice. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
