Barbara Elizabeth Davis

Barbara Davis (83) of Washington, DC passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022. Barbara was an incredibly special woman and loved by everyone she encountered. Her family was the center of her life. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ which grew over the course of her life. Born to the late Joseph and Gertrude Ford in Wynne, Maryland, she is survived by her daughter Concepta Davis Perry; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by many other family members, friends, and caretakers. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Elores Peele, foster parents, sisters, brothers, and many dear friends. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Barbara often contributed to St. Jude’s over the years.
