He grew up in neighboring Gering, NE. after graduating from Gering High School, Bill joined the Air Force and was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth until 1964, after which he returned to Gering continuing his education and became a Master Electrician. He spent most of his working years in Colorado on large projects such as the shale oil processing plant in Rifle, Co. He moved back to TX in the late 80's and accepted a contract with General Dynamics in Cairo, Egypt. Upon returning to TX he worked on many high rise commercial buildings in the Dallas area and also contracted to work for Siemens Corp with the installation of chemical monitoring systems for the US Postal service throughout the US following the attacks on 9/11. Bill was an incredibly hardworking, honest human being, a great father and loving husband. He always was in a good mood with a smile on his face. Bill did not let life's daily grind get him down, he kept going through thick or thin. His friends he cherished in high school were his friends for life.
He is survived by his wife of 31 yrs Davie Joy and his son Matthew, daughter-in-law Jennifer and grandson Grant, as well brother Jerome and sister-in-law Elizabeth of Plano. Also several nieces and nephews scattered throughout the US. God rest his soul, he was a good man.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Moore Funeral Home and Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington, TX 76012.
