Wayne was Born on May 1, 1931 in Shidler, Oklahoma and passed away at his home in Arlington, Texas. Wayne served in the US Airforce and active duty Air National Guard for a total of 14 years. Between the military and the airline industry he worked on airplanes for over 50 years before retiring at age 72. He then pursued his hobbies of gardening, woodworking and restoring old trucks to show quality, receiving over 350 trophies. He proposed to his wife on their third date and raised 3 children together.
Surviving family members include his wife Perley Joann Terry, Children Michelle (Mickey) Freeman, Kevin (Melissa) Terry; grandchildren Molly (Doss) Whetstone, Lauren (Nick) Melina,, Justin Freeman, Madison (Matt) Martinez and Katelyn Terry. Six Great Grandchildren, Harley, Tinley, Max, Xander, Kegan and Dakota and his siblings Glenn (Reita) Terry, Sandra Alexander, Bill (Vicki) Terry and many nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by his parents Louie and Velta Terry and son Randy Terry
A visitation for Wayne will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A committal service will occur Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Parker Memorial Cemetery, 3900 William D Tate Ave, Grapevine, TX 76051.
Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Terry, Mickey Freeman, Justin Freeman, Doss Whetstone, Ken Alexander and David Alexander.
