Wayne was born on July 5, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Veranis & Ruth Scott. This very sweet man was loved by many people. Survivors: His wife, Gladys Scott; Sister and brother in law, Sharon and Patrick O’Neil, Daughters, Sherri King and Shelli Neely; Son, Shawn Scott, 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
Wayne was the owner of B&E Machines in Detroit. After moving to Texas, he was a successful contractor with a great reputation for solid work. He specialized in home renovations, and was booked several months into the future.
He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, he moved to Texas in his late 30’s. While he loved Texas, given the choice of beef or a hot dog, he would always choose the hot dog. This craving came from Detroit and the Coney Island.
Simple things brought a smile to his face and warmed his heart. He loved all animals, and they loved him as well. He had pets all of his life; some he chose and some who chose him. His love for animals didn’t stop at the live ones, he had a collection of black bears that greeted him every day when he got home. The Peanut’s characters were also a favorite of his.
His sense of humor and kindness will be greatly missed.
