Wayne McPherson

Wayne married the love of his life, Pearl McPherson, and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. They raised two sons together. He earned degrees in both Mechanical and Electrical engineering and worked for IBM as a Systems Engineer in the early days of computing. He took great joy in hunting, and teaching the younger generations how to hunt. If he wasn’t careful he would get so wrapped up in telling stories that he would forget to shoot when the birds flew by. When he couldn’t be hunting, he enjoyed playing bridge.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Earl McPherson. He was survived by his wife Pearl McPherson; mother Faye McPherson McDonald; sons Scott McPherson and Herschel (Mary) McPherson; grandchildren Elizabeth, Jacob, Scott and Sabrina; and great-grandchildren Amelia, Dillion and Gage.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 28, at 2:00 p.m. at CrossPoint Church of Christ; 3020 Bardin Rd.; Grand Prairie, TX 75052, with Tim Hall Officiating.
