Wanda Lee Cook, 73, courageously ended her battle with multiple medical issues Monday, November 7, 2012. Wanda was born in Wolfe City, Texas. She attended Southern Methodist University and The University of Texas at Arlington. Wanda will be especially remembered for love of books, Genealogy, knowledge of the bible, as well as her love of her family. Wanda was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church and shared her passion for Christ teaching a bible study and participating in the United Methodist Women. She participated in the Genealogy Society as well as Friends for Life where she developed many lifelong friendships. She was preceded in death, by her husband, William Jerry Cook and her father and mother, J. F. Herndon and Katie Mae Helton. Survivors include Daughter; Deborah Cook Maness and a grandchild whom she adored Jamie Tyler Maness. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 9 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas. Burial will be on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 12:30 at Moore Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are welcome to celebrate Wanda’s life following the service at St Stephen United Methodist Church.
