Walter "Wally" Charles Joiner

He was born July 2, 1928 to parents, Charles Walter Joiner and Emma Jane Joiner in Gillingham, Kent, England. Wally grew up during WWII on the Isle of Wight which inspired his interest in aviation and led to an apprenticeship at age 14. He worked as an aerospace engineer for 60 years before retiring at age 74 from Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth..

Wally immigrated with wife and children to the US in 1979 and later became a US citizen. In addition to being a dedicated father and husband, Wally had many dogs over the years and was affectionately known as The Dogfather.

Wally is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Maureen Joiner and his 8 siblings.

He is survived by his daughter Susan Joiner and son Paul Joiner.
