Walter Sam Chamberlain Jr. 94, passed away November 6, 2018 at his home in Arlington, TX. He was born February 6, 1924 in Waco, TX to Walter Sam Chamberlain Sr and Lillian Buckner Chamberlain. Walter proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He continued to serve his community as a Pastor for over 20 years and was Area Manager of The Texas Rehabilitation Commission. Upon his retirement he was surprised with a potters wheel, allowing him to pursue his longtime desire to work with his hands. Over the years he developed his talents as a potter, making beautiful works of art with his own personal glazes.
He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Santa Fe where he captured new pottery ideas, which also allowed the opportunity for still life photos for his wife to duplicate in a memory with a painting in water color.
Walter is survived by his wife Jane Chamberlain; daughter Sharon Wilson and her husband Jack; sons Dan Chamberlain and his wife Judy, Mike Chamberlain and Joshua Martin and his wife Cara; grandchildren Brent Wilson and his wife Suzanne, Ginny Chamberlain, Matt Chamberlain and his wife Melissa and Laura Linn and her husband Jeff; and great-grandchildren Nicole Wilson, Ian Wilson, Harper Linn, Vivian Linn, Alice Chamberlain, Elaine Chamberlain, Alister Martin and Matilda Martin.
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and Make straight and plain your paths.
~ Proverbs 3:5-6
