Vivian Louise Gray

Hospital on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023. She was born in Holliday, Texas, to Ben and Carrie Burgess on January

19, 1933. Her sojourn here was 90 years, 9 months, and 17 days. She graduated with honors from Harrold

Texas High School. She worked as a telephone operator in Harrold, and later in Frederick, OK. While in

Frederick, she married Joe Louie Gray. After having their first child, Joe Louie Gray, Jr., they moved to

Arlington. Their second son, Larry Lynn, was born soon after.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and both sons, Joe Jr. and Larry, and many loved

ones. She is survived by her brother, Chal Burgess of Clyde, TX, and sister, Bennie Carolyn Rayl and her

husband, Lee, of Bedford, TX, grandsons Elric Gray and Alleron Gray, their wives, several great-

grandchildren, a niece, nephews, and several cousins, all of whom she loved dearly … and the feeling was

mutual. She will be deeply missed.
