Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, with entombment following in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: begins at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Troy’s life.
Memorials: As an alternative to flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Legion, of which Troy was a member.
Troy is survived by his children Barry Huhn of Overland Park, KS and Donna Burton of Trophy Club, TX, along with their spouses Esther Huhn and Chris Burton; grandchildren Collin Burton, Daniel Huhn, Jonathan Huhn, Taylor Huhn, Travis Burton, and Tyler Burton; siblings Vonda McClelland of Satellite Beach, FL, Allen Huhn of Waskom, TX, and George Huhn of Princeton, LA; He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Judith Nelms Huhn.
Troy was born on January 3rd, 1939 in Bossier City, LA to Troy H. and Ouida Huhn. He married Judy in 1959 while serving in the Army. After moving to Arlington in 1962, Troy began working at the new General Motors plant from which he retired after 41 years. Over the years, the couple welcomed 2 children and 6 grandchildren, as well as other nephews and nieces into their home.
Troy was interested in various hobbies such as coin collecting, antique collecting, and model trains. But mostly he enjoyed providing fun experiences for his 6 grandsons.
The family would like to thank all caregivers and hospital workers for their professional dedication, and particularly the Kappa Kappa Iota organization for their many cards of support and encouragement.
