TR was born on October 21, 1948 to William and Marguerite Moore in Denton, Texas. His family later moved to Big Spring, Texas where Tom spent most of his childhood until adulthood. Tom attended East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. He majored in Computer Science when computers were just in their infancy stage and considered the next big discovery of the future.
Tom had a passion for travel. He and Kathy have traveled to many countries all over the world. Tom had an outgoing personality; he never met a stranger and was always quick to strike up a conversation. Tom always had a true sense of fun and adventure. In his younger years, he rode dirt bikes, enjoyed downhill skiing, scuba diving and snorkeling. He enjoyed being with his friends and would organize group ski trips, cook at chili cook offs, and playing 42 (a dominoes game). Tom was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Since his brother-in-laws are from Minnesota, Tom loved to banter with them over who had the “better team.” All in good fun, the rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings made for some fun jokes and friendly pranks.
Tom is survived by his wife Kathy; siblings Jerry (Marny) Moore of Richardson, Texas, Elizabeth (Ray) Stewart of Austin,Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike and sister-in-law Nancy Moore, and nephew Scott Moore.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
