Visitation: 6 – 8 pm Friday, October 30, at Moore Bowen Funeral Home, with services at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials: Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Compassion International or The Salvation Army.
John graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, University of Texas at Arlington and ITT Technical Institute. He served as a Specialist in the US Army at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma in the 3/17th Field Artillery Division. Later working for IEG/Don Penn Engineering and was blessed to have made many friends there. He married Kelly Parker on November 19, 1988, and had two children, Tommy and Emily Graham. John was a wonderful husband and father and will be sorely missed and never replaced in their hearts.
With such a big heart, John was always available to help friends, family and strangers, including frequently stopping to help when he saw someone with car trouble. John sponsored a child through Compassion International and exchanged letters with her regularly.
John loved having a project and spent his free time working on his cars, shooting, and caring for his backyard chickens. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with family and friends, and was a member of BMWDFW. When his children were younger, John was a leader in Cub Scouts and Royal Ambassadors. He loved to spend time with his family and encouraging his children’s interests. He attended a paintball D-Day re-enactment with his son and a YouTube convention
with his daughter.
He is preceded by: His father Paul Henry Graham, III.
Survivors: Loving wife Kelly; children: Tommy and Emily Graham; mother Louise and husband Dan Gahagan; his sister Laura and husband Brad Wright; his brother Hank Graham and wife Claire; father and mother-in-law Carey and Mary Parker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. He will be missed by all.
