Sue Bailey

Brenda Sue Bailey, 83, was united with her Lord and Savior on July 1, 2024. She was born on May 11, 1941 in Beckham, Mississippi to Joseph Hildren & Mattie Ruth Staten. Sue was raised in Mississippi & Memphis, Tennessee. She attended and graduated from Southside High School ; pursuing higher education at Draughons Business College and Ogles Beauty School. Sue married the love of her life Thomas Eugene Bailey in 1962 and they had two wonderful children. She was an Aesthetician at The Green House Spa for more than 20 years. In her spare time, Sue enjoyed officiating bible studies, gardening, playing games of any kind. Her true passion was time spent entertaining family and friends. Sue’s family and friends will always remember her as an efficient organizer, always had a shoulder for any one in need and lent a sympathetic ear while being a compassionate communicator and correspondent. She was a fun and faithful friend; the most affectionate, loving and warm-hearted grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt anyone could ask for.

Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Eugene Bailey; sisters, Hilda Jane Staten, Cathy Lee Mathewson; son-in-law, Brad Stater as well as a niece and three nephews.

She is survived by son, Chad Eugene Bailey; daughter, Nicole Denise Lawrence and husband Bobby; Sister, Martha Kay Vaughn and husband Davy their daughter Kristy and granddaughter Jayde; grandchildren, Anthony Mitchell and wife Dena, Collin Lawrence and wife Jamie; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Beverly; brother-in-law, Otha Bailey and wife Donna; brother-in-law, Keneth Bailey; Sister-in-law Maxine Nelson; brother-in-law, Larry Mathewson; along with many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Sue will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
