Stephen Hollabaugh, age 74, a resident of Irving, TX, died unexpectedly on Sun, August 27, 2023. He spent his early years in Dallas before moving with his parents (George and Jacqueline Hollabaugh) to Irving, where he played varsity basketball for MacArthur High School. Steve received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University before beginning his career with the City of Irving. He was a lifelong Christian.
Steve is survived by his wife, Melanie Hollabaugh of Irving, and cousin, Phyllis (David) Barnett of Katy, TX. Other survivors include long-time friends Tom Chenault (Carrollton, TX), Henry Dirks (San Antonio, TX), John McCammon (Boerne, TX), and Robert Ray (Edmond, OK).
Steve and his wife volunteered for many years with VNA Meals on Wheels.
In lieu of flowers, donations to this organization would be greatly appreciated.
Friends and family members gathered on November 5 for a celebration of Steve’s life.
