Sharon was born on February 22, 1950 in San Fransico, California to Delbert “Gene” and Delores Brown. She was their second daughter. She was always small but could stand her own against the bigger children she played with.
Sharon’s father was in the Air Force so the family made many moves in her childhood. She lived in many states and countries to include: California, Alaska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arkansas, Germany, England, South Dakota, Texas and North Dakota. Her parents settled back in Texas when her father retired. She graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo, TX and went to Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.
She met Bill Lawson at work and they married in 1971 and they had 4 children. Bill is the love of her life and referred to him as her trinket in her bag of keep sakes. She loved him so much and wanted to make sure he would be watched over by all. Sharon was a Homemaker and not only raised her four children but helped raise her sister’s children, her niece and nephew. She was a loving parent and taught the children the value of love, money and to be a good person. She enjoyed raising the children. They were definitely the highlight of her life. Later in life she “adopted” another niece that was her “third” daughter. We all knew who to go to when we needed help or advice.
In her spare time Sharon enjoyed sewing clothes and quilting. When the children were babies she made them blankets, crocheted hats and booties and was very artistic. She always had a vision of what something should look like. She was a soccer fan and watched her children play until they grew up. She was a fan of the high school football games and watched her son and daughter in the band.
Her family and friends will always remember how selfless she was with her time. She was always there and wanted people to feel welcomed.
Sharon is preceded in death by: her parents Gene Brown and Delores Brown, Her grandparents Ivan and Gladys Pray and her third baby a little girl.

Sharon had 5 grandchildren (4 girls and 1 boy) Kaylee White, Alexis White, Peyton Lawson, Maddie Lawson and Brody Lawson. She had many great nieces and nephews and one little great great nephew.
The pallbearers will be Bobby Lawson, John Lawson, Michael Lawson, Gene Blanton Mike Knierim and Mike Sorokolit.
Sharon will always be remembered as a strong lady that knew what she wanted and loved her simple life. As long as she had her children, she didn’t want or need fancy things to make her happy. She lived her life with no regrets. What made her happy was being around her family especially the children. She was always there for school parties or soccer games or even church activities.
Sharon loved animals and she and Bill bought a place in the country so she could keep her 2 horses, chickens, 3 dogs and a kitty cat. She was happiest when she was outside taking care of the animals or doing gardening. She and her third son, Michael would garden together on her land. She loved canning vegetables with her mother-in-law Mary Lou in Tennessee. She didn’t need a lot of friends because of her large family but if you were lucky enough to get to know her, she was a friend for life.
If desired, remember her by planting a tree. She loved plants.
