Scott Ashley Burkett

Scott Burkett was born to Marissa Burkett, in McKinney, TX. Scott moved to Arlington when he was a young teenager and attended Lamar High School. He met his oldest daughter’s mother, Marie, during this time and they had a baby girl named Ashley Marie Burkett on April 28, 1997. Scott met Valerie in the year 2000. On Nov 9th, 2012, Scott was married to the love of his life Valerie Khalili. A year before, his second daughter Destiny Summer Burkett was born on June 21, 2011.

Scott loved spending time with his family. He loved to go camping and fishing. He was an excellent cook and made his career out of it. He worked for Steak Way for 15 years as a general manager. He loved his two daughters more than anything. He was family oriented and loved music and barbecues.

Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents Carol and Jimmy Burkett.

Scott is survived by his mother Marissa Burkett, daughter Ashley Marie Araiza and husband Mark, daughter Destiny Summer Burkett, brother Michael and sister Christina McCowan and husband Shawn, Aunt and Uncle Renay & Robbie Burkett, his niece and nephews Lia & Christopher Little Axe, Brandon & Molly Mccowan, and Hailey Walker His father-in-law Jamal Khalili, and so many more family members and friends that loved him so much.
