Sarah Caroline Hogg

ARLINGTON-Sarah Caroline Hogg, 95, passed away February 4, 2012 after a long and full life. Funeral: Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Woods Chapel Baptist Church, 242 California Lane, corner of Bowen Rd., Arlington. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Moore Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Rd. in Arlington from 6-8 PM. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale.

Caroline was born in Murphy, North Carolina on March 7, 1916 to E.E. and Mattie Fair the fifth child of 13. She came to Dawson County, Texas in 1924 via Oklahoma. She attended the Key Community School and got her certificate in 1932. She married George F. Hogg on December 22, 1934. They settled on the south side of the Hogg property. There were born three children to them at this location. After living in several locations following her husband’s vocation, the spent several years in East Texas in retirement. When her husband got sick they moved to Arlington. Here she lived with her daughter for several years. Caroline was very active in the Baptist Church where ever they lived.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandchild, two great grandchildren, five sisters, three brothers and a son in law.

Survivors: Caroline will be remembered by her children Leon and Jan Hogg of Euless, TX; Dell and Ann Hogg of Delhi, LA; and Nell Herring of Arlington; eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and four brothers.
