Ronnie went to be with the Lord early the morning of July 1 after a year long battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully in his sleep. If there was a vision of courage Ronnie was it. Ronnie was a devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Marie Shelton, sons Kenneth Shelton, his fiance Kathi Lowery of Grandbury and Robert Shelton, his wife Toni Shelton of Grapevine and grandchildren Cole Shelton, Avery Shelton, Courtney Shelton and Zachary Lowery. Ronnie is also survived by his sister Maxine Wheeler, brother-in-law Earnest Wheeler and nieces Donna Wheeler and Sherrie Wheeler of Arlington. Ronnie was very proud to call himself a native son of Arlington having been born there. Ronnie loved life and everything about it. He was an avid outdoorsman. He retired from Vought Aircraft/Northrop Grumman after a 36 year career in programming and system installations. He was loved dearly and will be missed tremendously.
