Robby went to elementary school in Del Rio and graduated high school in Carbon, Texas where he lettered in baseball, basketball, and football. Robby was nominated by a local congressman to attend the Air Force Academy. Robby attended Harden Simmons University, Baylor University, and went on to graduate from Arlington State College in 1964 with a BBA. Robby worked in the aerospace industry as an auditor for thirty-five years.
Robby was a coach and referee for youth soccer for twenty years. .Robby enjoyed swimming, tennis, and skiing. Robby also enjoyed traveling. He took many road trips throughout the United States. Robby also traveled abroad extensively. He went on nine mission trips which included trips to Kenya, France, and Sweden. Robby also did volunteer work for SIL International in Dallas for five years.
Robby was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Carl and Curtis; and his eldest son, Rex. Robby is survived by his love and wife, Jackie Smith; his youngest son, Guy; Jackie's son, Lance, his wife, Lynn, and their children, Ryan and Cara. Additional survivors include David Ingram, Ashley Ingram, and Sascha Guin-Anderson.
A graveside service for Robby will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Boulevard, Colleyville, Texas 76034.
