

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Messiah Baptist Church in Richland Hills. Interment: 2:30 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home on North Davis Drive in Arlington.

A native Texan, he attended the University of Texas and received a B.A. in chemistry. Dr. Millwee attended medical school at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and interned at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He was a captain in the U.S. Air Force and served as medical officer during Vietnam. Dr. Millwee then completed residency at the Parkland Hospital Surgery Department in 1973. He was board-certified in emergency room medicine and worked in hospital emergency rooms throughout Dallas-Fort Worth area, Arkansas and Oklahoma. He will be best remembered for his family practice clinic in Richland Hills, which closed in 1996. Robert enjoyed outdoors, fishing, hiking, cycling and traveling.
Survivors: His children, Dr. Robert Millwee IV and wife, Mila, of McKinney, David Millwee and wife, Kristen, of McKinney, Scott Millwee of Prosper, Russell Millwee of Aubrey, Robbie Millwee of Boston, Mass., Christy Schmitt and husband Mike Schmitt of Austin and Shelly Morse of Aubrey; his siblings, Steve Millwee and wife, Rita Millwee, of Dallas, Diana McCaffree of Dallas and Marilyn Millwee of Midlotheon; and grandchildren, Alex Morse, Chloe, Landon and Hailey Millwee, and Megan, Kaitlyn and Jacob Schmitt.
