Robert "Bob" E. Kimbrel

Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012. There will be a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.

Bob was born July 20, 1931 in Athens, Texas to Sommer and Mallie Kimbrell. He grew up in Grand Prairie and graduated from Grand Prairie High School. He was a high school athlete and played quarterback his Senior year. He enlisted in the National Guard and later retired after many dedicated years of service. He later started a career with Lone Star Gas and later with their subsidiary, Ensearch.

In his spare time, Bob enjoyed playing golf in his earlier years, watching football, and raising grandchildren in his later years. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and those who knew him.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of many years, LaVera Kimbrel, and brother, Royal David Kimbrell.

Survivors: daughter, Suzanne Jarosh; grandchildren, Doug Jarosh and wife, Rebecca, and Joanna McCarty; great-grandchildren, Katy Bryant, Gracie McCarty, Anya and Killian McCarty, and Vera Jarosh; sister, Joann May and husband, Tom; sister-in-law, Rosie Riggall; nieces, Frances Tucker and husband, Bill, Janet Ellis, and Kriss Kent; and nephews, David Kimbrell, Bobby Jack Kimbrell, Kirby Ross and wife, Penny, and Carl Ross.
