Robbie Wilson Green, born on February 16, 1938, in Franklin County, Missouri went to his eternal home in heaven on April 11, 2025.
Robbie is survived by sons; Tim (Paisley) and Dan (Sandra). Grandchildren; Matthew (Jadyn), Presley and Paris. Great Grandchildren; Weston and Emmy. Sisters; Francis and Fay. Niece; Kathy Stewart (Don) and Nephew; Bart. Various other family members.
Robbie grew up on a small farm in Missouri and later moved to Vaughn, New Mexico where he graduated high school there in 1957. He started working for GM Arlington in 1959, married Virginia on October 14th 1961 and continued working at GM for over 30 years. He taught himself how to work on automotive air conditioners and it became a second job. He loved spending time in his garage and working with his tools and his 56 Chevy. Though he stayed very busy, he still made time to play baseball and other sports with Tim and Dan as well as do some baseball and basketball coaching. He also loved to learn about and work on computers. He loved country music, comedy movies and watching sports. He and mom did some traveling. His favorite trip was a cruise to Alaska which included a scenic train ride.
Robbie was very wise and always offered great advice and encouragement. He was incredibly devoted to God and his family. He was especially crazy over his grandchildren. He was witty, kind, generous and selfless. He lived a long happy life full of faith and love. Like the story “Where the Red Fern Grows” he passed away right after mom so that they could continue to be together forever…
