Ricky was born March 19, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas to Walter and Carroll Larson. He thoroughly enjoyed his youth and went on to become a jack of all trades.
He worked in the printing industry most of his adult life but his true calling was as a driveway mechanic. That simple term does not adequately describe the skill and creativity he possessed. He was known to his family, friends, and neighborhood as the man to go to when any vehicle needed fixing. When he was not building or repairing, Ricky spent his time fishing, riding his Harley, or cheering on his grandchildren’s teams plus avidly supporting the Texas Rangers and TCU Horn Frogs Football.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Larson, and his children: Brandi Watson and spouse Chad, Allana Finlay and spouse Sean, Richard Larson and fiance Janeth, Kristina Gerstner and significant other Patrick, Samantha Healy and spouse Joshua. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and his siblings John Larson and spouse Mary, Pam Parnell, Cathy Awtrey and spouse Allan, and Steve Larson - as well as his beloved dog Peanut. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Carroll Larson.
Per Ricky’s last request there will not be a service or celebration of life at this time.
During his final days, he and his family were extremely appreciative of the meaningful hospice care provided by Community Healthcare of Texas. The family requests that if you would like to honor Ricky, please donate to this wonderful organization by clicking here.
