Reta Jeanette Thomas

Jeanette was born March 18, 1934, in Gilmer, Texas to parents Dewey and Mamie Gunn, was raised in Dallas, Texas, and attended/graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1952.

After graduation, she married Charles Dorman Thomas and worked as a secretary while he attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. In 1956 Dorman graduated from the School of Civil Engineering, and the couple welcomed their first child.

Jeanette devoted her life as a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and was deeply loved and respected by all who met her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Dorman, eldest son David, sister Marylin, and brothers Ron and Gary.

Jeanette is survived by sons Michael (Cheri) and Steven (Ronnie), daughter-in-law Angie (David), grandchildren Kristin (Kenny), Eric, Stacy, Joshua, and five great grandchildren.

Jeanette will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Dorman Friday, April 18, 2025 in a private family ceremony at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas

A graveside service for Reta will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012.
