Patricia Sweatt, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved friend, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering commitment.
Born to Rosebud Bryan Rush and Jack Rush on January 12, 1943. Patricia had an older brother Aaron and baby sister, Connie. Patricia brought joy to everyone she encountered. As a US Army wife to Billy Morrison Smith, she embraced the challenges of military life with grace and strength. Her love and support sustained her husband through deployments, relocations, and the demands of service.
Later in life, Patricia found love again when she married Ned Sweatt. Their union was marked by 40 years of shared laughter, companionship, and unwavering devotion. Their love story remains an inspiration to all who knew them.
Patricia’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a nurturing mother to three wonderful children: Suzan, Penny, and Guy and 3, as wonderful, step-children: David. Ronnie, and Melissa; she was a doting grandmother to 6 grandchildren: Jessica, Chris, Mehrdad, Naveed, Kayla, and Sara. Her love knew no bounds, and she instilled in them values of kindness, compassion, perseverance, and fun.
Patricia’s legacy lives on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched. Her warm smile, delicious meals, and comforting presence will forever be etched in our hearts and dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Moore’s Funeral Home in the North Chapel on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 10 am. Let us gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Patricia Sweatt and find solace in the memories we shared.
