He was preceded in death by his parents, Crystal and W.T. Weeks of Azle, Texas
Michael worked many years at Vought on commercial aircraft, if you have flown in the past 40 years, more than likely he made parts for that plane, he was meticulous in his work and took great pride to ensure air travel was safe. He made many friends in his career and left his mark with his amazing sense of humor and wisdom.
Early in Mike’s life he found his love of music and was inspired by his Uncle Buddy Weeks who was a legend in Dublin Texas. He loved many different types of music and was mostly self taught. In the late 60’s he played several times at the famous “Cellar” in Fort Worth, Mike always had his guitar close by and always ready to play and sing for anyone that would listen.
He was blessed with the gift of music and learned to play many different instruments.
Art was another passion of Mike’s, he loved the paintings of the masters and loved museums and documentaries about art and the artist, he had many wonderful memories of visiting the national gallery of art in Washington D.C.
Mike’s love of his cats and just stopping to enjoy what he called “his special moments in nature”, like his mockingbird that would sing his heart out for him, is who this man was. His heart was huge and he was always there if you needed him.
Mike had a great sense of humor, sometimes on purpose and sometimes accidentally. HIs outlook on life was always positive and he was so thankful for family and the smallest things. Mike’s needs and wants were simple, family was all that mattered and he worked and provided and never complained. He left his life lessons ingrained in everyone that had the privilege to know and love him. He was our treasure.
