Michael "Mike" Wayne Stevens

Michael “Mike” Wayne Stevens, 62 of Arlington, Texas, passed away February 14th, 2020 after a battle with three cancers in six years. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, February 22nd at Moore Bowen Funeral Home, 4216 S Bowen Rd, Arlington, TX 76016. Burial will follow in Fredericksburg, Texas around 4pm.

Michael was born July 3rd, 1957 in Houston, Texas to Jimmy and Elsie. He was close with his grandparents, Wilmer and Dimple, who had a large involvement in his upbringing. He attended school in the Dallas-Fort Worth area until becoming a master plumber. He married his wife Lesly on July 31st, 1999. He worked at various companies, including his own. The last 15 years of his life, he was an employee at the DFW Airport through JBT Aerotech as a master plumber. He was loved and appreciated dearly by his co-workers. Mike loved to fish and spent his weekends hanging out with his wife, daughters and grandchildren. To Mike, family was the most important thing in the world.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Elsie Irene Adiar; his grandparents, Wilmer Thomas and Dimple Adiar; and father-in-law, Arles Schuch and mother-in-law, Kay Schuch Bland.

Michael is survived by his father, Jimmy; wife, Lesly, 4 daughters, Misty Cook, Brooklyn Hendry (and fiancé Matthew Way), Sierra Hendry, and Reagan Stevens; 2 grandchildren Colby and Devon; 1 sister, Peggy Scott; 2 brothers, Hubert Stevens and wife, Mary and Jimmy Stevens Jr. and wife, Mariyah; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
