ARLINGTON -- Melton Ray Stout passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, in Arlington. Funeral: 9 a.m. Thursday at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Chapel. Burial: to follow at 11 a.m. in DFW National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home Bowen Road.
Melton was born June 3, 1931, to Ira and Wanda Stout in Ringgold. He served two years in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War. After his service in the Army, Melton worked at Lone Star Gas Company for more than 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and working in the church.
Survivors: Wife, Billye Stout; children, James Stout, Carolyn Bohlar (Charles); Grandchildren: Mark Stout, Kevin Stout (Meagan) and Stan Bohlar; sister-in-law, Bettye Hanson; and nephews: Kent, Steve and Rick Hanson and their families.
