Melissa Reed

Melissa Marie (Archer) Reed, 52, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Melissa was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, then moved to Texas as a child, where she graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1988. She enjoyed camping with family and friends, dancing, horses, dogs, and we all know she loved to hate the Dallas Cowboys.

Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, her stepmom Olivia Archer, and her brother, Jeremy Archer. She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Jerry Reed; father Thomas Archer of Valley Center, California, and mother Madeline Archer of Ennis, Texas; sons, Chase Linthicum, and Garrett O'Bryan;

sisters Clarissa Hill, and Christine Carpenter; brothers Raymond Picard, and Thomas Archer, Jr.; and grandkids Joseph, Johnny & Julianna. In addition, Melissa will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by a number of friends and extended family.

Melissa requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Melissa’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life, with the details of the event to follow.
