Mary was born on September 25, 1930 to Harold B. Fitzhugh and Fay Ruth Powers in Aurora, Illinois. After moving to Fort Worth, she met the love of her life, Homer Donald Starks. they were married for 69 happy years until his passing on September 12, 2017.
Mary was a dedicated homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Survivors: children, Bobby Starks and wife, Rhonda, Linda Helms, and Michael Starks and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Wesley Helms and wife, Shelly, Cory Helms and girlfriend, Whitney Vasquez, Keith Helms, Brian Starks, Hailey Conyers, Paige Yepez, Elizabeth Strong, and Catherine Strong; great-grandchildren, William, Owen, Edie, Brittney, Alicia, Jacob, Andrew, and Levi; and several great great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
