Mary (she would have you believe that “E” stands for Elizabeth) Lacey was born on January 6, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas to Henry Thomas and Nora (Polk) Thomas. She married her husband of 67 years, Warren Neil Lacey, on February 2, 1952. His US Army career took them to Alaska where they had their first daughter, Debra “Debbie” in May of 1954. A few years later his engineering career lead them to Midland where they would have their second daughter, Kimberly “Kim” in April of 1957. The couple made their way back to Fort Worth in 1963 where they have continued to live in the metroplex to date.
Mary had a close hand in raising and tending to her 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She could most often be found in the kitchen, even if you just wanted her to “Sit down!”. She was on-the-move to the very last of her days.
She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Thomas and her mother, Nora (Polk) Thomas. She will be greatly missed and loved beyond measure by her daughter, Debbie Lacey Tinsley and her husband Pat, granddaughter Becky Tinsley Cross and her family (Barry, Baylee and Brinley), granddaughter Lindsey Tinsley Blair and her family (Todd, Deacon and Parker), daughter Kim Lacey Bruner and her husband Larry, and granddaughters Lacey and Kayla Bruner.
