Memorial service: 12:30 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Viewing: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Marvin was born in Mobeetie Dec. 21, 1925, to Ural and Myrtle Sherrill. He was the third of six children. He attended Texas Tech University and received a degree in architecture. His working career started in Odessa. It was there he married Wanda Chambers on Aug. 4, 1962. He had been a resident of Arlington since 1964.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Alice "Sherry" Powell.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Wanda; son, Kevin and his wife, Anne, and a granddaughter, Audrey; daughter, Marvilyn and her husband, Ryan, and grandson, Jacob. He is also survived by brothers, Nelson of Arlington and Tommy of Dalhart, and sisters, Betty Helwig of Amarillo and Joyce Parrish of Kansas City, Mo.
