Marian Lee Atkins

Visitation Wednesday from 3-5pm and funeral 1:00pm Thursday, both at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home 4216 S Bowen Rd. Burial at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington.

Marian was born in Beaumont, Texas on April 5, 1924, the only child of Collie and Esther Burkhart. She attended Beaumont High School and Lamar College. On 22 April 1942 she met Richard Atkins, beginning a 75 year Love Story that will never end. Marriage began the role of a devoted housewife coupled with the adventures of life in the Air Force. After raising a son and two daughters, she began a career in business, retiring in 2009 to enjoy travel adventures with Richard. Her deep and abiding love for the Lord leaves a legacy for family and generations to come.

HEIRS-Daughter Terry Craddock and husband Phil and Carol Wampler and husband John; Grandchildren Phil Craddock Jr., Tammy Craddock, Kim Wampler, Skye Hasan, and Johnny Wampler. The rest of the herd includes 20 Great Grandchildren: Macy Craddock, Alex Brown, Clayton Drake, Chloe Drake, Cade Drake, Scarlett Atkins, Bella Hasan, Jet Hasan, Jax Hasan, Blake Wampler, Haden Wampler, Elyla Aguilar, Stormie Fieler, Chelsy Shipman, Austin Shipman, Justin Shipman, Gabby Demello, Maddie Osborn; and 2 Great Great Grandchildren Cohen Atkins and Everly Brown, all very loveable. Marian was preceded in death by her parents and son Rick Atkins and granddaughter Abby Osborn.
