Maria Irene Juarez

Maria had a heart of gold and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a woman who was strong in her faith and devoted to single handedly raising her children and grandchildren – a true matriarch. In her spare time, Maria loved to write poetry, listening to music (she was an avid Elvis fan), gardening and tending to her plants and flowers. When she was younger, she had a love for working on automobiles. Maria had a strong love for each and every one of her children, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Maria is survived by her children Yolanda Reyena and husband Joe, Linda Trujillo, Praxedes Reyes, Sandra Reyes, Marivel Reyes, and Michelle Reyes; 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; sisters Linda, Nelda, Neomi, Gracie, Anni, and Zanaida. Maria was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Cavazos.

Maria held Psalm 34 close to hear heart:

I sought the Lord

And He answered me

And delivered me

From every fear…

A celebration of Maria’s life will be at 2pm, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 21 from 12:00-8:00pm, also at the funeral home.
