Margaret was a long-time area resident, living in Handley and Arlington for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel (Buck) Singleton.
She is survived by son George Singleton and wife Leslie of Lititz, PA, and grandson Scott Singleton of Pensacola, Florida. Also, Lee Stricklin of Victor, MT, and granddaughter Angie and husband Jim Farrar of Telluride, Co.
Margaret was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, where she served as Stephen Minister for many years. Margaret also served as a volunteer at Harris Hospital and was president of the hospital auxiliary for a term. She also volunteered at the FT Worth Museum of Science and History. She was always active in PTA, including a term as president. She was the driving force behind the establishment of the WWII B-26 memorial at the National Cemetery in Dallas.
After her husband's death, Margaret continued living in the family home surrounded by wonderful neighbors. She enjoyed traveling to visit her children, as well as trips to England, Ireland, and Canada. Her final years were spent at the Waterford and later at the Meadowbrook.
Her family is deeply grateful to her caregivers, especially her special Angel, Barbara Zang, whose care and friendship blessed her immeasurably.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm on Thursday, August 25 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr. Arlington, Tx. 76012. Margaret's funeral will be a grave side service and burial next to her husband on August 26 at 11:00 am at the Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. Reception to immediately follow at Trinity Methodist Church, 1200 W. Green Oaks Blvd. Arlington, Texas 76013.
