Luther Lee Gaither

A visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012 on Tuesday, November 27 from 6-8-p.m. A graveside service will be held at Moore Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.

Luther was born April 6th, 1924 in Clayton, Oklahoma to Will Gaither and Mae Gaither. Luther was an Army veteran and a Mason belonging to Lodge 438 in Arlington, TX. Luther worked for General Motors for 31 years before retiring. Quiet at times, Luther loved to play dominos and spend time outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Everyone knew him as a family man and nothing brought him more joy than his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Margie, daughters Madalyne Allen (Robert), Lazenda McLemore (Johnie), Bonnie Griffith (Bill), Deborah Acuna (Gilbert), son Eddie Gaither (Linda), sister Marie Griffin, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
