

Lloyd Harvey Erwin, a loving, caring and devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away on July 19, 2020, at the age of 72, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Charlene Erwin, his son William Timothy Erwin, his daughter-in law, Andrea Erwin, and their children Phillip Lloyd, Conner Nelton, Andrew Richard, and Caroline Elaine. He is also survived by his sister Nora Ann Smith and his brother Michael Erwin and their families.
Lloyd was born in Dallas, Texas, to Lloyd Richard Erwin and Pascua Lena Picardo Erwin. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington (BBA). A man with diverse interests and hobbies, he enjoyed classical music and more than a dash of 60’s music. As a talented amateur chef, his spaghetti sauce was a family favorite. He was an active member of the North Texas Archeological Society, where he made many friends who shared his love of all things archeological. Lloyd was also a dedicated member for twenty-one years of the Texas Archeological Society. As a former employee of Lockheed Martin and a member of the Lockheed Martin Quarter Century Club, Lloyd treasured the friendships of his former colleagues.
Lloyd was an exceptionally decent, honorable and good man who did his best each day. He lived his life with kindness and compassion for others. We will truly miss him and consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have been a part of his life.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to celebrate Lloyd's life. A visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012 on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 5 PM until 7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
